Chinese herbal medicines have been consumed for over a thousand years by many. While generally safe, they may bring serious inadvertent consequences infrequently. In San Francisco, two Chinese individuals were admitted into hospitals after consuming some Chinese herbal brew, and one of them died in March 2017. While investigations are still under way, the local medical community has been shaken up by this incident and wishes to learn more about how we can do better protecting patients in the future. We have gathered a panel of experts representing stakeholders from different areas to examine the current systems in place, both in East and West medicines. Come and join us for this important discussion in which we will try to uncover safer ways in using Chinese herbal medicines.

中藥已經被使用千多年了，雖然一般用中藥都是相當安全，但間中也會有一些嚴重的後果。在舊金山，就有兩名中國人在飲用了一些中草藥湯後便因中毒進了醫院，而其中一人在三月中死亡。雖然調查死因工作仍在進行中，但此事已震撼著本地的醫學界，他們極望能夠進一步了解如何能更好地保護患者。為此我們邀請了數位代表不同領域的醫學專家來參加這個重要的研討，以現有的中西藥物系統為起點，去嘗試找出一些更安全的方法以後飲用中草藥，誠邀您來參加這個論壇和發表意見。
