Clinical Research
There is an existing knowledge gap in the health of Asians, as only a handful of studies exist in this area. Immersed in and surrounded by the strong and rich scientific community of UCSF against the silhouette of a city with many Asians, the Asian Health Institute can provide a great venue for conducting clinical and translational research targeting the Asian community. This unique research focusing on Asians will hopefully help to advance the health care and health of Asians locally, and have implications nationwide as well as internationally. The focused venue will also support, encourage and spur interests of the existing expert investigators to develop clinical research studies for Asians, especially in disease areas that impact Asians most. Its distinctive presence also attracts international and national collaborations, generating a new exciting wave of unprecedented synergy in discovery.

一直以來，有關亞裔健康知識的差距就像一個大缺口，只有極少的研究資料存在。而加大之亞裔健康研究院位於這個眾多亞裔城市的影幕下，亦沉浸在加州大學舊金山分校之強大和有豐富的科學精英的界域裡，應能提供一個最好不過進行專注亞裔健康的臨床研究場地。這種對亞裔的獨特研究，最重要是希望有助於促進本地亞裔的保健意念和健康，但其實也可以影響到全國以及全球的亞裔。這個科研院也會鼓勵和提高科學家的興趣，尤其是在對影響亞裔最多的疾病領域上，多開發對亞裔健康的臨床研究。此研究院的存在在全美獨一無異，將可能會吸引國內和國際科研精英之間的合作，為未來可能的新發現推出一個前所未有和令人共奮的波潮。
