Hospital emergency rooms are typically overwhelmed with patients having serious respiratory problems during January and February every year. This year is no exception, especially with CoVID cases adding to the burden from flu and RSV. Not only do patients get respiratory diseases, but some emergency room physicians and staff also get sick! The increase in inpatients amidst a reduced staff force spell disasters for the emergency rooms. In light of the challenges, we have invited emergency room experts from UCSF to share their insider views and how we all can play a part to help.

通常在一月份，醫院的急診室都擠滿了患有嚴重呼吸道疾病的患者。 今年也不例外，尤其是新冠肺炎病例增加了流感和呼吸道合胞病毒的負擔。 不僅患者會罹患呼吸道疾病，甚至有部份急診室醫師和工作人員也生病了。在病人增加而缺乏醫護的衝擊下，急症室就變得一團混亂糟！我們為此邀請了加州大學舊金山分校的急診室專家們來分享局內人的觀點，以及我們大家可以一起做甚麼以共渡難關。
