Instead of decreasing with the modern advances in medicine, the incidences of many chronic diseases are actually on the rise, such as chronic viral hepatitis infections. And hepatitis B and hepatitis C infections cause at least 80% of all liver cancers worldwide. In the Asian-American community, the leading cause of liver cancer is chronic hepatitis B virus infections. Both hepatitis B and C infections have made liver cancer the most common cancer in many parts of the world. Join us in this combination lecture on hepatitis and liver cancers by Drs. Francis Chui and Francis Yao. This lecture aims to address the seriousness of hepatitis and liver problems and raise the community’s awareness, especially in Asian American community. The bottom line is that hepatitis is preventable. Please come and join us in this informative bilingual free lecture and learn how you can prevent getting hepatitis infections, as well as the state-of-the-art treatment for the infection as well as liver transplant surgery for the concomitant liver cancer developed as a result.
