Migraine affects up to 39 million Americans and recurring headaches impact 3.1 billion people globally. Migraine is not “just a headache” – it is a neurologic condition that can include cognitive, motor, sensory and, other symptoms. Headache disorders are the third leading cause of disability worldwide and affect people’s jobs, family life and quality of life. Migraines may be triggered to set off more frequently in the summertime by warmer weather, dehydration, longer daylight, lighter barometric pressures, or sudden changes in humidity. Join us in the following online town hall to learn more about this debilitating disorder with Professor Maggie W. Waung, a migraine expert at UCSF.
